Eight months gone by, and still nothing to show for it! I submitted two trademark applications and forked over $1156.00 in fees—$700.00 to the USPTO and $456.00 for other charges. Fast forward to now, and when I check the status, it just says waiting on the search report!

On top of that, I coughed up another $350.00 for two quarterly fees of $175.00 each for 'Trademark Monitoring.'

When I reached out to support, they admitted they 'dropped the ball.' No surprise there! Not only has my application not been sent to the USPTO, but they didn’t even bother to conduct the trademark search!

Support claimed they would speed up the search within 48 hours, but they didn’t offer any kind of refund.

Honestly, I’d have my trademark by now if I had just gone with a local attorney.

I’ll keep you posted on this situation. Right now, this company feels like a total scam. Just a heads up for potential buyers!

This site is a total scam. It's a classic bait and switch. I had to cancel my credit card just to put an end to the ongoing charges. They lure you in with that $50 trademark registration fee, and before you realize it, you're hit with a $350 charge for a search? Plus, they slap on $100 monthly fees? Just a total scam.

With over two decades in my field, I value honesty... Trademark Engine is anything but clear. Here’s the scoop:

This morning, I noticed they attempted to hit my card for $350, which I thought might be a state fee, but again, zero transparency. I jumped online to check reviews and found a ton of fake 'positive reviews,' so I decided to reach out to customer service.

When I called and said, 'I want to cancel,' they didn’t hesitate at all – they just canceled it. I received an email stating: 'Your subscription of $99.00 USD monthly for Quarterly Trademark Infringement Monitoring is now canceled.' -- THIS IS A SCAM -- I never signed up for this in the first place!

Why is this business still running? It’s just plain theft.

I told the customer service rep I want nothing to do with them, ever! I demanded a full refund.

Working with Trademark Engine feels a bit like trying to understand the Catholic Church—everything turns into a puzzle once you place your order. I made an order (223043JR) and soon realized I had uploaded the wrong version of my file (the draft instead of the final one). I reached out to Customer Support, and Jennifer R. was the one who stepped in to help. She took the reins and guided me through fixing the filing and swapping out the document for the right one. When I noticed that my order status wasn’t changing on the site, I got back in touch with Jennifer R., and she reached out to her team to get me an update. Eventually, when I received the application, Jennifer R. sent me an email to inform me that it was on its way. She also gave me a tip on how to sign it by placing a slash before and after my name. Sure, that was in the fine print, but who actually reads that stuff, right? Big thanks to Jennifer R. for her excellent work. I really appreciate it!

This company isn’t clear about their fees and ended up charging my credit card several times without my permission. The site and all the forms give you the impression that you can register a trademark for just $49. But once you enter your credit card details and hit submit, they start piling on extra fees. Some of these fees are mandatory if you want your trademark registered, leaving you feeling like you’ve wasted that initial $49. I chose to back out and go with a more honest company, so I turned down all the extra charges and asked for my $49 back.

Next thing I know, I was hit with a $49 charge, then a $59, followed by a whopping $350, and to top it off, I got signed up for a recurring $99 a month fee. Other than the first $49, I didn’t agree to any of those extra charges. That’s just plain theft.

Luckily, I called them up and they quickly processed my refund. Still, I’m uneasy about them having my credit card info, and my bank is suggesting I change my card number.

This is a really shady and unethical way to run a business. Trademark Engine has terrible reviews on other platforms, and I honestly don’t get how they maintain such a high rating on Trust Pilot. Do your research before dealing with them.

Fantastic communication and they followed through on their promises. The only downside is the numerous extra charges at checkout. If you're not paying attention, you might end up spending a pretty penny.
